Ffres January 2012 Newsletter

simon1Hello and welcome to the latest Ffres newsletter.

Happy New Year to all of you / Blwyddyn Newydd Ddai I chi gyd!

2011 was a full year for Ffres that saw the initiative continue to grow in its role developing food tourism in South West Wales. It was rewarding to see the number of events that took place and the great support that the industry gave them.

Plans for 2012 are already well in hand with a variety of chef events coming up and workshops such as ‘Planning Menus Around Food Intolerances/Allergies’ and ‘Social Networking and Marketing for food producers’. The big change for Ffres will be a shift from the emphasis being a solely business facing initiative to one that looks towards the consumer as well - with the aim of turning the visitors attention to the strength of the food offering in our region. As we develop proposals for doing this we will be keeping you in the loop, but in the meantime bright ideas in this respect are most welcome!

Good luck for 2012!
